Why do people cheat?

It's natural for both male and female to cheat. You as a human being wants diversity, wants variety-- you want everything right? As far as your pleasure principle (Id) could go, you as a person molded and created by nature will desire everything you want. It is human nature to cheat. Scientifically, in animal kingdom we all want to be the king of the jungle. The "lion" where we can have everything we want because of the certain strength and authority it has. However, since we are an animal created with a higher intellect, taking those actions will make you irrational. Since ego attempts to mediate between id and reality. It is often to conceal the id's conflicts with reality, to profess-- to be taking notice of reality even when the id has remained rigid and unyielding. The Id is unconscious by definition. It is dark, inaccessible part of our personality. It says that, at birth as an undifferentiated id, part of which then develops into a structured ego. Rules and norms will be introduced as we grow, as the ego and superego develops.

Without these laws and norms we would hurt each other. That's the time where it is what you do with that natural feeling that defines you as a human being and as a person.but these does not apply to everyone because of diversity. Some of us; the id, ego and superego were not completely developed and presented well by the environment we grew in. There would be a conflict between the id and the ego. between the pleasure principle and the reality that you've committed to something bigger where cheating is beyond the norms.

Now, those persons who manages to cheat-- they don't have the personal resistance to say No! Its about defining the value of decision to make that we want to be a better person and a better lover
